The Pankhurst Centre is available for hire for private events. Host your event at the birthplace of the Suffragette movement, 62 Nelson Street, Manchester

As well as being the historic home to the Pankhurst family and the location of the first meetings of the Women's Social and Political Union, the Pankhurst Centre is also a women's centre and community space. It provides and offers space for activities and events many of which are run by women, for women. It is a unique place in which women can learn together, work on projects and socialise. It is a vibrant centre that hosts a number of women's organisations and projects and, since their merger in 2014, is the registered office of The Pankhurst Trust (Incorporating Manchester Women's Aid).

Weekly drop-in

Every Wednesday from 12:00 - 14:00 

We host a weekly drop-in for all women of any age or background. During these hours we provide a free hot meal, and a friendly safe space for a brew and a chat. Some sessions include creative activities and wellbeing workshops and we can signpost to other services as appropriate. The group welcomes lots of different people including current and former service users, volunteers and anyone else who'd like to join in!

Hire the Pankhurst Centre

Alongside our regular women's events we offer private hire for many other types of event. Previously, the Centre has been hired for:

  • Festive Dinner
  • A Women in Maintenance event
