Remember you are not alone - domestic abuse can happen to anyone no matter your age, race, class, culture, disability, gender, sexuality or lifestyle.

DVA Awareness Training

As a DVA specialist, we support other professionals across Greater Manchester to build knowledge and raise awareness about Domestic Violence and Abuse. This course covers the definition of DVA, essential legislation, categories of abuse, indicators, the impact of DVA on victims, and effective responses. It will enhance your understanding of the dynamics which take place in abusive relationships and will equip you with the necessary skills to effectively respond when DVA is a concern.

Professional Boundaries for Frontline Workers

This course helps you understand the importance of appropriate professional boundaries. It explores challenges and how to overcome them, and it helps you to develop effective strategies to have a healthy work-life balance.

Impact of DVA on Children and Young People

Under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, children are recognised as victims of domestic abuse in their own right. This course heightens your knowledge and awareness of the effects of DVA on children and young people and helps you increase your confidence and skills to support children who are or have been exposed to DVA.
