Come along for a fabulous feminist suffragette stitch-in!

Join embroidery artist Rebecca Stevens to make your own hand-stitched famous feminist quote. And where better to take part in a spot of creative craftivism than the birthplace of the suffragette movement!

At this three-hour Sunday afternoon workshop, Rebecca will teach you the basics of the beautiful art of hand-embroidery, an ancient craft that women have traditionally practiced for centuries. And this lovely contemplative art can aid mindfulness, wellbeing and good mental health.

All materials will be provided for the workshop, including:

• Embroidery hoop

• A range of quotes to choose from (but feel free to bring your own)

• A choice of fabric

• High-quality embroidery threads in a variety of colours

• Needles

• Scissors

Guidance and stitching advice will be given throughout the session, alongside written instructions.

You'll also enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of cake at this rather special crafternoon event. Our museum will be open, so you'll also have the chance to explore Emmeline Pankhurst's former home and the place where the first suffragette meeting took place!

Places are limited, so book soon to avoid disappointment.

£30, including materials, tuition and tea/coffee and cake.
